Tutoriel pour mIRC

Ok hi all!

IRC in my opinion is a very useful clan tool and therefore u guys n gals r going to be steamed up to use it. Our beloved clan leader managed to do it with my help so u lot get rdy!

First of all DONT download mIRC from the mirc.com website it's a new version.

Then start IRC and click on the little wrench in the top left corner next to the connect button.
See here..

You'll see this window now..

and fill in your details. make sure your email is the same as your nickname. I used a made up one some servers wont let you connect otherwise.
Then go down one in the list to Servers..

Select Quakenet as the network and pick the closest random server u can get.

Moving down again this time, this will make you automatically connect to the right channel and can be edited anytime. Go to Options and press on the Preform button you will see this:

For now just enter the /j #|tus| line and select again the network to be Quakenet with the add button.
You can type any commands freely in the white box.

Finally to make sure ur aware when someone speaks to you we shall set up Highlighting.
Still in the same menu go down to IRC > Highlights

make sure the Enable highlighting box is ticked and then press add.

In the top line you can type any name you think people might call you seperated with a comma. It's usefull to put the $me first because that means it will highlight on your nickname whatever it may be at that time.
Set it up how ever you want see below.


Right now your done! press ok on the window and hit the red button in the right upper corner next to the wrench and if everything goes well you should be in #|TuS| in no time at all!

Right after your all connected please type this command in the channel:

/msg Q hello

This will give you an account with the Quakenet bot and will enable you to receive operator status and channel control.
You will receive an email in your inbox with a link click on the link and on that page it will give you a few commands as well as your password.

Copy paste the command line that says something like To auth with Q please use this command it should be something like

/msg q@qservblah blah AUTH

(it's a;ready filled in for you on that web page)

Paste it into the preform window see above before the /j #|tus| command.
